Plascom is capable of producing custom made filter bags and envelope style filter bags for various purposes. No additive is used in our filter bags. In order to ensure the maximum filtration possible, one piece welded filter tubes are manufactured. We also manufacture filters in polyester, polypropylene and Rayon (PPS).
Plascom also manufacture filter air bags where dust is collected inside surface of the bag and these are generally used in compartmentalized collector. The bags are commonly hung in the bag house by a cap with a hook and the bottom is fitted over a thimble.
Chemicals used in the filter bags uniquely formulate proprietary finish composed of a polymer to prevent attack on the glass filament and PTFE to provide superior abrasion resistant. The finish is resistant to both acid and alkali attack.
The Triple finish (SGT) used with a blend of silicon oil, graphite and Teflon which combine to protect the glass fabric from abrasion. Also more than 10% Teflon PTFE particles encapsulate the glass fibre to prevent abrasion. Acid resistant finishes consist of acid resistant polymers, PTFE, graphite and silicon oil, forms a covalent bond with molecules on the surface of the glass to shield it from chemical attack.
